analyzerWe are offering two sand sedimentation products and software:

1)  Two unique settling tubes:

a) Sand Sedimentation Analyzer™, SSA™, MacroGranometer™;

MacroGranometer™ is a high technology sedimentation analyzer of water-insoluble, sand-sized material, using gravity sedimentation from a single level (stratified sedimentation) in water. The extremely low sediment concentration makes it the unique tool for sand sedimentology, which provides unique high quality and meaningful results, with added operational and maintenance ease, and a variety of outputs.

b) Sand Sedimentation Separator™, 3S™;

It is the only instrument in the world which makes possible

1) isolation of programmable sedimentation velocity sand fractions without any material loss;
2) almost continuous specification of the fractions by
PSI sedimentation (settling) velocity values (± 0.01 PSI);

3) isolation of as many as 25 sedimentation (settling) velocity fractions;
4) convenient operation control on the user's PC.

2)  Software

  • SedVarDC™ — Distribution Conversion software, which converts the laboratory settling velocity of a distribution into any other  independent sedimentation variables, such as shape-specified grain size, grain density, grain shape, grain Reynolds' number, standard and local settling velocities; under any terms, such as gravity acceleration, sedimentation liquid (distilled water and salinity specified salt water), temperature, liquid density and kinematic viscosity.If the gravity acceleration is not known, it can be calculated from the latitude and altitude in meters above the sea level.
  • SedVarNC™ — Number Conversion software, which mutually converts any sedimentation variable, such as settling velocity, shape specified grain size, grain density, grain shape and grain Reynolds' number to any terms, such as gravity acceleration, sedimentation liquid (distilled water and salinity specified salt water), temperature, liquid density and kinematic viscosity.
  • Shape™ — distribution processing software, which decomposes the measured PSI and PHI-sieve distributions into up to 5 Gaussian (normal) components - using the method by Isobel CLARK (1977). If the distributions are from the same material, Shape™ matches them by the equality of their inverse functions and from the matched PSI-PHI values it calculates the pertinent SF values, which can be entered as a variable SF file into the SedVarDC: SedVarDC then calculates the PHI distributions as they would be measured by sieves, however, with a high (0.02 PHI) resolution and improved accuracy, nevertheless, with the intrinsic errors of the used sieving
